A first choice place for new business investment

Agreeable as it is, Plessis-Robinson shouldn’t be seen only as a town with an exceptionally well-preserved environment. It is also a dynamic town, with all the qualities needed to attract businesses who want to get ahead.

Location, location, location!

The first of its unique qualities is geography: whichever way you look at it, Plessis-Robinson’s location is second to none. Only 6 kilometres from the Exhibition Centre at Porte de Versailles, it is at the crossroads of three of the Départements within the Ile-de-France Region: Hauts-de- Seine (to which it belongs), Essonne and Yvelines.

Extensive communications

This geographical position is all the more attractive as it means that Plessis-Robinson is fed by numerous transport and communication links. Our business centres are 10 minutes from the international airport at Orly. The A86 motorway and the RN118 trunk road intersect close by. The B2 line of the RER rapid transit system and several Paris transport authority (RATP) buses serve the town. In the years to come this web will grow tighter with completion of projected tram lines: the T6, linking Châtillon (on Metro line 13) with Vélizy in 2014 and Viroflay in 2015, and the T10, linking Croix de Berny with Antony and Clamart before 2020.

An especially fertile jobs market

Integrated within the Hauts-de-Bièvre towns conurbation*, Plessis-Robinson currently has 11,000 active workers. Take in Clamart, Meudon and Vélizy, and there are over 30,000 people in professional employment concentrated within a small area. The signs are unmistakeable: we are linked to major national schemes like the Opération d’Intérêt National for the Plateau de Saclay, or the MEDICEN “competitive cluster”, a world class biomedical centre. The economic pull exerted by Plessis-Robinson is confirmed by the names of the large companies who have chosen to come here, companies like Renault, Bouygues Telecom, Air Liquide and MBDA.

* The Hauts-de-Bièvre towns conurbation encompasses the towns of Antony, Bourg-la-Reine, Châtenay- Malabry, Sceaux, Verrières-le-Buisson and Wissous.

100% visitor friendly

Plessis-Robinson is also perfectly set up for occasional business visitors: there are 6 hotels of 2 to 4 stars within a 10-minute radius, plenty of sporting facilities including a 12 hectare park, swimming pool, and 10 tennis courts (6 of them indoor), and there are possibilities for partnership agreements with companies in our area. An exceptional environment for employees and a promising environment for businesses, Plessis-Robinson has a clear aim: to make itself indispensable to all entrepreneurs.
